Konnichiwa, everyone!

My name is Steven Schultz, I'm a musician from California, in Tokyo
studying nihongo.

I just moved to Tokyo 3 weeks ago. But already I've been to 3 punk
shows, a DIR EN GREY live, the ‘gangsta-rap barber shop' in shinjuku,
and a gay bar named ‘blue oyster cult.'

But even though I know some interesting things to do here, I'm always
on the lookout for more stuff. . .i'm sure I haven't even explored
one percent of the city! In particular I'm looking for .....

* supermarkets that sell ‘tasty bite' brand precooked Indian meals (I
know QUEEN'S CHEF has some, but not the kind I like!) . . .or
tofu-burgers, veggie meals, etc.

*how do I get in the audience for HEY HEY HEY MUSIC CHAMP? (or any
other tv show, for that matter?)

*Is there a store that sells second-hand stuffed animals? Because all
my favorite Sanrio characters have been discontinued!

*Where are the famous ‘indoor skiing' and ‘indoor surfing' shops?

*And, where can I find underground performance art shows?

*What about ‘noise' concerts?

*And where can i buy‘print club' purikura magazines made by high
school students? Maybe they don't do it anymore. . . but there must
be a ‘furuhon-ya' that sells old ones.

Anyway, if someone can help me find even ONE of these things, I'll be
your friend for life!!

Also, I'm keeping a sort of online journal since i moved here.

I know, online journals are horrible. . .but there's so much cool
stuff here, I just have to keep a record of everything unusual or
humorous that I find. Yes, there are pictures.

If you've lived here for a long time, I suppose you won't be as easily
impressed as me. . . , but chances are you'll find SOMETHING new and
bizarre. . . for instance, they have karaoke versions of SLAYER
songs.
