Merriam-Webster dictionary defines _victim_ as:

(1): one that is injured, destroyed, or sacrificed under any of
various conditions <a victim of cancer> <a victim of the auto crash>
<a murder victim> (2): one that is subjected to oppression, hardship,
or mistreatment <a frequent victim of political attacks

If one were to except the above definition, then one may reasonable
deduce that there were per se German victims of the war. Albeit, YOU
may wish to arbitrarily decree or deny victim-hood status because of
nationality, such hyperbolizing is often unsubstantiated. Hence,
arguments which are supported primarily via subjective propositions
(your state of mind) frequently merits little consideration and as
such can easily be dismissed ….

Although you may experience some personal discomfort in having to
recognize that many Germans were indeed victims of a fascist political
system, which in turn caused all sorts barbaric behavior on the part
of numerous players and participants during the WWII theater; you may
wish to view that chapter in history as it really was rather than as
you might want it to be.

In sum, suffering and victimization is an ever-present consequence
of any war and doesn't discriminate based on such whimsical
circumstances as geography and/or ethnicity.
