Well, that's likely to be either a screen saver setting or a power
management setting.

For the former, right-click on an area of the Desktop away from
any icons, select "Properties" from the drop-down menu and then
the "Screensaver" tab. Either select Screen saver = None or
increase the "Wait" time, depending upon your choice.

For the latter, try  Start > Settings > Control Panel
Double-click on the Power Management (or similarly-named) icon and
check the settings there. There are normally two main areas; 1)
running on AC power   2) running on battery.
Either increase the time before sleep mode occurs or disable it
entirely.
