I provided the following information to a friend recently who had
the same query. No doubt there are other sites which provide a
similar service but at least I know that this one works:-

Click on this link

Hg

Look just below the photo of the smiling bloke and there's a
section entitled "Crucial System Scanner". Click on the "Scan my
system" button to the right.

Tick the little box to agree to the terms & conditions and click
on the "Continue" button.

A box appears asking you to confirm that you want to run the
program. Click on "Yes".

In a little while you'll see a report showing the make/model of
your PC, the processor type and speed, what memory you have and in
what configuration and the maximum amount you can have. Click on
the blue button to the right of the memory information "Get
compatible memory" and it will show you what is available and the
prices.

Underneath the "Specifications" of each memory chip is a link
entitled "What does this mean?". Click on that and it gives advice
on what to buy, in terms of combinations, sizes etc.
