Poobure is just a troll (person who wastes people's time), so please just
ignore him. Depending on your newsreader, you can probably set it up to
filter out his messages, which, like Sukiya, saves you time and money.
I don't have much information on Japanese language schools, but last time I
enquired into them, most of them seemed to be mostly about preparing people
for the Japanese language proficiency test (JLPT) for entry to Japanese
universities.
The quality of Japanese language teaching is very variable and you may be
able to find a good school. There are lots in Tokyo. At the moment my
information on the sci.lang.japan FAQ is rather sketchy:

If other people want to contribute information, they could post it to this
thread or email me (I'm not one of these sad people with an email phobia)
and I'll include it later.
