Because MY tax money was being used to get them out. They were all pretty
much one-man(woman) "NGOs" who were not sent by anybody. The photographer
was on a freelance mission and not employee of Asahi. He wanted to get the
picture of the year to gain fame and recognition...
The young guy wanted to "study" about depleted uranium since he studied
rocket science at his high school. At least 2 of the 3 were no "aid
workers"!
I would have asked them to pay 1.9 million each...
