NewsRover appears to be for the Windows OS.
This is the sort of detail you _really_ ought to mention if you are asking
for SW recomendations.
Anyway three free newsreaders that do work reasonably well with
two/multi byte character sets are
- Outlook Express
- Thunderbird
- Gravity
Free Agent can AFAIK be forced to work at gunpoint after long negotiation
and non-Free Agent is probably better but I'm not the one to ask about
those.
