Not conceivable for you, but cops in service and the likes are not supposed
to enter religious places, people's houses or other private places, unless
they are given a special authorisation. I though that was a sort of
universal rule.
The US forces are probably supposed to do the ID checks, arrestations, or
whatever outside the temples.

Possible they've written it themselves after trespassing incidents from low
IQ GI's that'd confuse temples and stations.
