最近、男やもめと結婚したばかりの未亡人は友人
に話し掛けられた。彼女は笑いながら言った。
『以前、結婚していた全ての男性のように、貴女の
夫も、時々最初の奥さんのことを、話すと思うけど』

『あぁ、もうそんなこと、ないわね』ともう一人の婦人
は答えた。
『何故、彼は、話さなく成ったの？』と先の婦人は訊
いた。
『私が、二番目の夫のことを話し始めたからよ』と
その未亡人だった女性は応えました。
