それは、選挙時のことでした。政治家は、その地方
にあるインディアンの指定保留地に出かけ、土着の

群集は『ホヤ、ホヤ』と叫びながら熱狂してきた。
政治家は土着の言葉に少し困惑したが、その熱心さに励まされた。

『私は、この保留地にカジノを許可する賭博改革を
保証します』
『ホヤ、ホヤ！』と群集は足を踏み鳴らしながら叫
んだ。
『私は、もっと、多くの社会改革とより多くの仕事の機会を約束します』
群集は『ホヤ、ホヤ、ホヤ！』と叫びながら最好調に達した。演説が終わってから、
政治家は指定保留地
を視察した。すると、牛の大群が目に入った。
彼は牧場で育ち、牛のことを少しは知っていたので
首長に、もっと近くにより、牛を見ても良いかどうか
尋ねた。
『どうぞ』と首長は言った。『しかし、ホヤに足を踏み
入れないよう注意して下さい』
