I don't know how the Inuits in Canada and Alaska sees it but in Greenland
the word "Eskimo" commonly used in both English and Danish. I have also
seen it used in Greenlandish, but as I don't understand Greenlandish, I
don't know the context. You can even find the word on the Greenland
Homerule's homepage. In Danish Eskimo is the common word for a native
Greenlander. Copenhagen University even have a department called
"Institut(Department) for Esikomologi", doing studies mainly on Greenland
culture.
Greenland is Danish territory.
