They are real assholes in that League of Indignity. My grocer attained a
weight of over 300 kg and he could weight himself, discretly, in his
warehouse on his merchandise scale. The simpler model of scale can measure
up to 1 ton, my uncle carries one around in his little truck (to weight
containers of fruits). There are also companies from where you can rent such
scales on a weekly basis for seasonal markets, the hospital had to buy or at
least rent one for the time they had that patient.  I just don't believe
that they had to carry that guy in a truck, like a circus elephant.
