Sounds like a stitch up. Or the typical Japanese habit of doing nothing and
blaming culure.

I think you should say Fuck the lot of them, and take them to court. Why
worry about this company, they didn't worry about you.

What was the new floor being made of, gold, platinum? I'd be very suprised
if the floor was even cleaned before the flat was rented out again.

Take them to small claims court, and get your money back. It won't cost
much, and they'll probably settle to avoid the hastle.
