Right. That's the issue. But surely it's not the japs who started the
firing. As you claim, the Chinese didn't have the capability would be the
answer for the question why they were there. I guess China at that period
was more like the Wild West of America in the 19th century, and there was no
ruler thus there was no order. I think American Indians were probably
thinking as why Whites are there.
