Neil,
Are you sure you really want that much weight to lug around, it is nealy as
bad as a Nikon F1D, the camera is good but I was always disappointed with
the auto mode, manual it was very good.
Perhaps you should wait for the F70D or get an *ist D Pentax (I have a soft
spot for the Pentax). Perhaps even a Canon 300D or 10D will do what you
want???
