Life in Japan FAQ question 0.93. Q. If you tried to steal a bicycle but couldn't pick the lock, what do you do next? A. Steal the valve from one of the tires. You don't get the bicycle, but you still get your major accomplishment. The owner will still be as late for work the next day as if you had got the bicycle.
