Let's see: Nissan: Owned by Renault Mazda (Matsuda): Owned by Ford Mitsubishi: Alliance with Daimler-Chrysler Toyota: Alliance with GM Honda: Alliance with GM Honda and Toyota are the only two fully Japanese-owned automakers, and both have foreign alliances. The German car thingy is pure supply and demand. If Japanese want to buy a foreign car, they want a German car. Which is only right, anyone in their right minds would want a German car.
