Newbie question: PC video format/file size/quality
Hi,
Just purchased a studio DC10 plus, if somebody can point me in the right
direction for my project, I would very much appreciate it.
So what do I want to do?
Our judo club would like to make a CD for the members showing the techniques
in the form of a short video for each throw.
Throw would last about 30s and should be produced at a high quality level on
the PC screen. Not very high quality, but clear enough to see the throw and
the size should be about screen size.
The various video clips, will be chosen by a front end HTML scripts.
Now the questions:
Can anybody give me a pointer as to:
1) format of file mpeg, avi ... The format has to be readable on a wide
range of PC's, but support a good quality
2) Which settings can I play with when reducing the quality to reduce the
size of the file.
At present I have no idea of how it all works, any tips that will save me
time in getting it set-up would be appreciated.
PS: I'm computer literate, but I have no experience with video's and PC.
My thanks in advance
