As previously speculated upon by yours truly the upcoming Rugby World Cup
will indeed be broadcast by what is now know as J Sports (previously JSky
Sports).

The only correction to my previous muse is that, unlike in 1999, the matches
are being broadcast across all three J Sports channels (306, 307, 308).
There doesn't appear to any 'pattern' to the way the matches are being
allocated to each channel.

Of course it goes without saying that it's a huge rip-off to get you to
subscribe to the 3-channel package. The tournament, conveniently for the
networks, runs well into November so you're looking at two months'
subscription. Nevertheless needs must as the devil stuffs a long, strong,
black pudding, up my sister's cat's arse, twice nightly, violently,
sideways, sliced...sorry...rugby drinking song flashback...

Anyway - I took a second to summarize the schedule for Pool matches in
October

Anyone know of any 'decent' pubs in Tokyo or especially Nagoya where weekend
matches are being shown live? I have the channels - but the ambience is
somewhat lacking - and I'll probably piss off the missus too much.
