Brits didn't bother me too much. Being completely incapable of understanding
irony, I am impervious to all their sophisticated little barbs. It's like
trying to cut a bowl of milk in half with a knife -- they're using the wrong
instrument.

Or like trying to insult the Japanese love of nature by telling them, "And
the best thing about nature in Japan is no matter how pristine the
wilderness, you can be sure of finding a vending machine within 100 meters."
It just doesn't work.
