Just to nitpick, infringement has a legal definition and set of
ramifications that are quite distinct from those for theft (let alone those
for piracy). For example, there are many situations where copyright
infringement is perfectly acceptable. Further, there are many files on
Kazaa placed there by their copyright owners with the full intent they be
shared as widely as possible. Lastly, it is not the user's responsibility
to verify whether such material has been infringed, just as it is not the
radio listener's responsibility to screen out songs that haven't earned the
royalties they should.
Now, providing material for *uploading* is a different matter...
