A troll is somebody who posts something in order to get a response. Let's
say that I want to get a response out of... Eric. I'll say something like
"Japan is the safety country" and I know that he'll come charging out of the
woodwork with reams of links and figures that conclusively prove that Japan
is the crime capital of the world.

That would be considered a successful troll. I don't have to head back under
my bridge for a specified troll time in order to meet my troll requirements.
I only have to post something that was designed to elicit a response.
