Hehe.. it doesn't really seem to matter these days /where/ they're
made.  The Die, line-cad, materials, and QC transplant very well in
the digital age.   So that leaves design, ergonomics, price, and
support.

Amoung those I /personally/ feel support and design are the most
important so I lean twards Nikon from amoung the "good" companies
I have listed there.

The "Bad" companies I have listed tend to fair poorly when you
consider Materials and QC as well usually offering poor to hideously
terrible support.  Often thier lack of expirience in producing a line
of SLR cameras shows through in thier design of digital cameras so
also VERY often thier design sucks as well.  [I've watched as some
design teams were shot down by market engineering. Sad!] So I guess
I'm saying these "bad" companies deliberately make a poorly designed
camera with low quality parts offering very inferior support just to
make a buck.  I guess ya can't blame them; the purpose of any company
is to make money.  Just the "good" companies don't seem to use your
ignorance against you in order to do it.  So as long as suckers without
a clue buy Sony digital camera products we'll keep getting crap offered
to us in the consumer lines.  Best just to stay away I think...
