That makes sence!  Here's another:    I actually spent time last night...

...timming each of my 3 card readers (two 1.1 devices and one 2.0 device)
on four of my computers (all 1.1 embedded USB) and none of them could
accomplish 2MB/sec.  They seemed to get between 1MB/sec and ~1.6MB/sec.
The 1.6 was only achieved with smaller files further supporting your
theory.

I tried a drive speed test program and good old fashioned file copying
with a stopwatch in hand.  So in hopes of bringing this to a swift conclusion;
If he's getting between 4 and 5 MB/sec he's has just prooven our points
for us and answered his own question.
