My guess is that a lot of reviewers are in fact photographers, which 
have a strong preference for the classical brands of photography: Canon, 
Nikon, etc.
But early HP-cameras weren't really that good so the reviewers were 
probably right. Another 'issue' they have with HP is that HP usually 
makes products that can be used by 'dummies'. 'Real photographers' want 
to take control and do like a lot of buttons - unlike HP.

That said (and I'm aware it's a personal opinion and possible some 
prejudice) it seems that the recent HP models are significantly better 
than previous models.

Anyway, don't let others tell you whether you should be satisfied or 
not. You're very happy with it so far, that's all that counts, isn't it?
