You'd have to ask Rei/Lillith/God about that.  They might have 
different opinions...

Personally, Asuka  excites my pity more than my lust, anger,
or anything else (except perhaps admiration for her bravery and
refusal to surrender).  Once you know why Asuka is the way she
is, you realize she's a broken thing inside and you - or at least, 
I - want to comfort and console her and help her heal.

Even though you'd  have to be careful she didn't take exception
and verbally savage you to death...

(Also, I have to think that if you tried beating Asuka to a pulp, 
she'd give as good as she got and might wind up winning just
because she's tougher.)
