My father and brother at different times stopped smoking cold turkey -
for health reasons only! Both told me subsequently that they still
wanted a cigarette at various times. I remember my father saying his
big craving was after a meal, particularly supper. That never changes,
evidently. But don't wait to you get to the point that either you
breathe or you smoke. When the cigs get you to the point yu cannot
breathe, you will stop and start on oxygen sooner or later. Watched my
father die took two years, but the lifetime smoking habit...well, what
needs saying?
