I never saw him when he was on television. The first I ever even heard
about him was about 10 or so years ago when military folks
transferring in from the US would call up the FEN (as it was then
known) feedback show to ask why the hell he wasn't on the radio here.
This went on for quite a while. Finally, they started running the
first hour of the program.
I had heard so much badmouthing of the man, his politics, and his
radio style that the very first time I heard the show on FEN, for
about the first 10 minutes I thought they were running a parody.
I have to say, I enjoy the show. And just for the sake of clarity
here, I laugh *with* him, not *at* him.
