Stories like these can be heard every week, and I have seen such incidents a
couple of times. Station personnel is also concerned that drunks fall of the
platform. After that it's all "he said vs. they said", especially when no
witnesses are around anymore. He might be lying, he might have been too
drunk to remember, the station employees might have been too forceful...
The point is that he was drunk in the first place, and that caused the
problem.
We have seen killings in trains and platforms before when drunk passengers
stabbed others who complained with knives and umbrellas.
The "Don't touch me" is hard too believe (he was probably swearing at them)
is the usual reaction in these situations. Don't expect others to beg and
mutter onegaishimasu and gomenasai!
Remember your own brush with the police where you were 100% "guilty" since
you have not done your homework before entering the country.
These are facts which cannot be argued... unless you have the stamina to
challenge the authorities.
Your friend will now think twice before drinking too much again.
