Just a little updated FTP info (no IP change this time)...
Seeing as how I've been missing in action for the past couple of
months, I thought some people might be interested in knowing who's on
my shitlist since the last time I posted. Here's the list of banned

The bans are always added to the top first, so IP1 is the newest ban.
As a matter of fact, the first IP is banned because the dumbass user
from that net doesn't know how to setup a fscking FTP client. How hard
is it to set retries to 45-75 seconds? Do you _REALLY_ think that in
the time you're waiting for a retry that someone is going to connect?
My god people, it's not that damn serious. It's not like my connection
is going anywhere any time soon. If you really feel the need to hammer
the life out of something, please spend your time flooding fserves on
IRC instead of making me waste my time banning you, as well as making
my FTP server block your connection attempt. The FTP server is set to
block anyone who tries to connect more than 4 times in 30 seconds for
5 minutes. 4 times in 30 seconds is 7.5 seconds between retries on the
average. You know, some servers ban you permanently for 2 retries in 1
minute.
With all that said, I'd like to shift gears a bit... I'd like to thank
those users that have given back and uploaded stuff over the past few
months. You know who you are. I hope to get yet another (or two) 60
gig drive(s) in to replace my old 12 and 45 gig'ers that have been in
this comp for some 2-3 years. I'm also in the market for a new
connection. It seems that frame relay T1s are becoming very
inexpensive (I've seen some at ~125$/mon). It sounds fairly steep to
some, but considering that 3mbps/768kbps from my current ISP will cost
something like 82$/mon, I much better get a non-capped 10mbps line
(which some FR companies do provide). Wish me well in my hunt for the
uber-connection...
