Ended up that the air conditioner in one of our machine rooms crapped
out (again!) the night of the 30th after everyone went home.
About 10 PM, the temperature alert mails started flying. Spent the
next hour trying shutting things off remotely and trying
to decide what to do about it. 11:21 PM found me on the last train of
the night back into work to shift things to a different machine room.
5:21 AM saw me on the first train of the day back home. As soon as I
arrived back home, I realised I left my mobile on
someone's desk in the office. After about 3 hours sleep, I took my
daughter with me BACK to the office to retrieve the flaming thing.
Since Japan has effectively shut down for the duration, the air con
isn't getting fixed for quite a while.

And, sure enough, there were numerous calls back and forth as other
things (things I was actually on call for) slowly started breaking.
Those were handled remotely. Or rather, are being handled remotely.
Still have one more day before the go-live. Or roll-back, depending
on how things play out.

Nice amount of overtime this month, I guess.
