Hi all,

I'm trying to decipher the JASRAC album information on the back sides
of my Japanese import CDs but can't find anything on the net to help me out.
Specifically, does anyone know what the (L) and (X) codes mean?

Also, I see that there are almost always 2 dates listed. I can see
that the earliest of the two is the CD's release date. The second
date is typically 2 years later, and is prefaced by the kanji
character "sai", meaning "second time". I originally thought this
date represented the point at which the CD would stop being
manufactured, or the "out of print" date. Others have told me that it
actually represents the re-print date, which would jive with the kanji
character. I've also heard that it represents the date at which
retailers are allowed to sell the CD at a price lower than that
specified. Can anyone clear this up for me?

Thanks for your time!
