Dear all,

Can anybody help?

I recently went to view the Pro815 from a retailer to see how effective the
zoom was. I read that the zoom has a maximum focal length equivalence of
420mm for a 35mm camera, but when I viewed an object at the maximum zoom
level it was only marginally bigger in size than normal perceived sight
(approximately 50mm under a 35mm camera). In my conventional S.L.R., 35mm,
the object appears much much closer at 420 mm than with the Samsung. Can
anyone explain to me why there is such a large difference in magnification?

Thank you
