名詞はわかりました。watch が、それに引き続く chat とか talk 
の意味になることはないですよね。

この辞書は、American Heritage Dictionary ですか。私の持って
いるものと、似ているけれど、ちょっと違う。

大体、何かをガードするために見張るという意味が主だと書いてあ
ります。２は、surveillance。船の見張りは、6。時計は、8か。

見張りする人がいればいいんだと思います。つまり、「私は、２ちゃ
んねるの記事をずっと見張っています。よい記事が見つかったら必
ず fj で紹介します。」というような奇特な人が。でも、今は、
glance して、「雑談」でしょ。雑談と watch は別物です。
