I think it was from one of Michael's posts that I learned that men
outside Tokyo never use "watashi", just "ore" or "boku", but I couldn't
help wondering if maybe that was just truck drivers. 

You've got to love a nation that has come up with at least six words for
"I" but then doesn't bother using any of them most of the time.
