I checked, and the Tecra 730XCDT does have 32bit CardBus capable PCMCIA
slots. What you need to do is get into the BIOS setup and make sure
the PCMCIA slots are set to either work in CardBus mode or auto so
they'll switch between 16bit PC Card and 32bit CardBus.

Any Toshiba laptop I've encountered that has CardBus slots has a
BIOS option to restrict them to PC Card mode. Dunno why, could be
because Toshiba makes their own CardBus controllers. (ToPIC 95 in
a DeskStation V Plus and ToPIC 97 in my Tecra 8000.)

Also get the latest BIOS update from Toshiba.
