That BIOS is way old. The last revision was 9.3 in 2001.
I know with version 9.3 it'll handle at least a 120gig,
probably larger.

Here's the link to BIOS 9.3

CHANGE HISTORY

Version 9.30 07-26-2001

    * A change was made to correct a problem that some PC cards with a
single spec for 16 bit and 3.3VDC may malfunction.

Version 9.20 03-02-2001

    * A problem resuming the computer was corrected. The computer, when
running Windows 2000, took about 2 minutes to resume from Hibernation
when the CD-ROM, Teac CD-224E-B30, (ZA2055P04) was connected to the
Selectable Bay.

Version 9.10 06-30-2000

    * Power management controlling power consumption and tempurature has
been improved.

Version 9.00 02-07-2000

    * BIOS for Pentium II and Pentium III models were intergrated.
    * A change was made to support Windows 2000.
    * The System BIOS was changed so that heat control of the fan would
be done by using Watch Dog timer function of EC. (If EC doesn't support
Watchdog Timer, for those with EC version 1.50 and lower, the heat
control method used is unchanged. The fan always rotates on models that
use a CPU of 500MHz and higher. For others, fan rotation is controlled,
based on CPU temperature.
    * A change was made so that two ATAPI devices could be supported.
    * Corrected a problem with the Eject Password. The problem occurred
when the Eject Password was set to Enable, and the computer was docked to
the Desk Station. After shutdown, when running Windows 98, and then
pressing the eject switch on the Desk Station, the system didn't ask for
a password.
    * Corrected a problem where, after pre-installing Windows 95/98,
execting hibernation without shutting down the computer, resulted in an
intermittent hibernation error.

Version 8.50 11-03-1999

    * This BIOS is for Tecra 8000 models equipped with the 500MHz Pentium
only. A change was made to allow the fan to run at all times. This will
prevent any overheating conditions should the computer hang and is unable
to otherwise control heat.
