Derrick May the innovator, Derrick May the genius, whichever way you look at 
it,  'Mayday' along with Jaun Atkins & Kevin Saunderson is responsible for 
kicking off the Detroit techno scene. As Rhythim is Rhythim he has given us 
some of dance music's finest moments including probably one of house's all 
time greats 'Strings of Life'. As a DJ he has wowed crowds worldwide with 
his sublime mix of house, techno, electronic funk and anything else that he 
wants to throw into the mix. His legendary labels Transmat  have given us 
music from such stars as Carl Craig. His influences (and personal friends) 
include Yellow, Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk.
