Re: replacement DVD on Vaio?
I think Device Manager calls it a Toshiba SD-C2402 which sounds pretty
generic:
The combo drive looks a bit expensive for a computer I don't intend to use
for all that long. It is starting to slow down noticeably, which no amount
of defragging, scandisking, sfc /scannowing, Norton Win Doctoring, spybot or
adawareing can help: It just cant seem to release its memory when I close an
application down so I suppose I will dump this one soon. But not with a
bust DVD drive: The Toshiba LOOKS pretty generic: Can I assume that the
connectors are all the same on the back assuming I replace the faceplate
with the one I take off the present one?
