I said I thought he was associated with one of the counties that was
associated with the British empire, and it turns out I was correct. My
statement did not state or imply that America was not a former colony,
although it is alone in being the only former colony that won its
independence by armed conflict.

By the way, your domain name mentions Vancouver, which is a great city. It
appears to have much more in common with Portland and Seattle than it does
with Toronto or points East.
