Its not just the commentators, but all the media. There are
unrealistic expectations for a team that is primarily just a J-League
concern. 19 of the 23 squad members play all of their club football in
Japan - its no wonder that Japan hasn't won a single World Cup match
outside Japan as yet. Thats basically unchanged from the 2006 World
Cup (20 from 23). Of 32 teams, only North Korea has fewer players
based in Europe. Cameroon, Japan's opponents tonight, have 22 of their
23 squad members playing in European competition.

The World Cup is the World Cup. The Women's World Cup is the other
event.
Its hard to get the two confused. I blame macho latin types for the
wording.
