Hallo Leute

I was taught this by my Japanisch teacher:
Recently a new speaking way of "hakkiri-itte" is in especially in our 
younger generation, for instance, hakkiri-itte mazui(bad taste), 
hakkiri-itte umai(good taste), .... but the latter example is not good, 
I (ie, she) would say it is wrong. ........

After this lesson, I have heard a lot of saying by hakkiri-itte + positive
form. Are those positive actually??
