My family members have different coloured passports to me (well, one
has one of each.) The Mrs. would get a bit (more) aggro if I wasn't
with in earshot to be nagged at after a long flight.

And checked baggage means I am going to have to wait for the luggage
to come out of the chute. If I am going to have to wait for that,
shooting through the autogates doesn't offer me a whole lot of
advantage. If I have to stand around waiting for something, I may as
well have it be for multiple purposes. More of a psychological thing
than anything else.

Without checked baggage would, of course, mean I could shoot through
the doors and only have to wait for the N'EX.
