Re: JAP government to ask 3 ex-hostages to cover costs.
I just read this. Now I understand why the Japanese are so angry at
them.
TOKYO Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi criticized two of the three
freed Japanese hostages Friday for remarking shortly after their
release on Thursday that they want to continue working in Iraq, urging
them to "have some sense."
Other lawmakers and senior government officials also reacted angrily
to their remarks, given the government's repeated advice to stay out
of the county, with some lawmakers even starting to consider creating
a new law to ban travel to designated countries.
