A damn shame really. There are few enough people on r.m.a. who know
Japanese history (and can research in the native language to boot), I
for sure don't have more than a poor clue even though I live in
Japan. Unfortunately, it seems that fj.(life in Japan) is rather more
warring and less easy to get back to a decent discussion than is
r.m.s. Maybe if we can persuade Mr. Gowen to come over to r.m.s., and
cut out the crap from the fj group, then there will be less influence
from that angle and we can extract good info with the thread
degenerating into pure horsesh*t.
