And since there are

   1) dozens of different terms used by different groups
      of Eskimos to refer to themselves,

   2) hundreds of different terms used by different groups
      of American Indians to refer to themselves, and

   3) thousands of different terms used by different Asians
      people to refer to themselves,

(and all of this because indeed there *are* dozens of different
kinds of Eskimos, hundreds of different kinds of Indians, and
thousands of different Asians), it does seem that the English
language reasonably needs three well known terms to reference
each of those three composite groups.

The fact that we don't use even one word from any of the
languages spoken by any of those people for those terms is
irrelevant.
