Things like that don't bother me much. A couple of things still bother
me. One is that a lot of the evangelical Christians appear to think
you can't vote for Kerry if you're Christian. The other larger issue
is that morality is so narrowly defined these days; great to vote for
a man that says he's against abortion and gay marriage (positions
that, IIRC, Kerry also supports, if not as vehemently), two issues
that the president probably won't have much influence on, but we did
so at the expense of economic and global stability. So much for
helping the needy and loving thy neighbor; those are fine values, it
seems, so long as people get their rewards first.
