When *WHO* attacks us again? Muslim extremists? Personally I'm more
concerned with the chance of getting shot at a convenience store or
bombed at some event by a Christian extremist; our country, for the
most part, has an excellent record of protecting ourselves form
outside aggression, and if I'm not mistaken most modern 'terror'
attacks in this country have originated internally.

The US has actually done a fine job, for the most part. So have most
countries. Actually, history shows that countries that are actively
aggressive eventually fail. The Roman Empire is an example. So is the
British Empire. Germany stands out clearly. Vietnam, too, has a
history of aggression towards it's neighbors, unless I am not
remembering my history correctly.
