I'm not a huge fan of Italian pizza (born and bread on 'merikan food), but they made some good stuff. It was in the shotengai on the second level, left side as you walk towards Kobe station. Unfortunately I don't know if it's still there (sorry, I might not be much help). In Himeji (I know this place is open) there's a place on the station's south side that makes a pretty good pizza. Exit the station (south), and to the right you'll see some relatively tall buildings (one has an ECC, or did last year). walk in front of those and you can't miss the place; it's up an escalator, second floor. They used to have a bar tender that knew his drinks, and they have a good whiskey selection (if you like it). There used to be an excellent Italian place in Himeji that was run by a chef that trained in San Francisco; he told me that he'd make me a pizza if I wanted, but I never took him up on it. Unfortunately the place is closed and I don't know where he is now. John W.
