Oh, sorry. Don't mean to offend the Americans. I just meant that, in
small towns, the local AET may be the only foreigner people ever
really interact with, at least in their town. When he or she is not
American (for some reason the ones here are always Canadians), it may
sink into people's minds that not every foreigner they come across in
Japan is from the US.
